(Out of respect for family, I use the word divorced to describe all couples who have conceived a child and are no longer together even if they were never married.)
As a former police officer, a divorced father for more than 10 years with four children and as a child of divorced parents raised in poverty in a New York City Public Housing Project, I have seen the good, the bad and the horrific ugly sides of divorce.
I wrote Child Support is more than Money! to provide insight into the struggles that divorced mothers, divorced fathers and the children confront on a daily basis. My goal is to help parents begin the needed conversation to heal their families.
